Joey Chestnut has reclaimed the top spot as winner of the annual hot dog eating contest in Coney Island after first tying with archrival Takeru Kobayashi in a 10-minute chow-down and then beating him in a five-dog eat-off.The men tied at 59 frankfurters in 10 minutes, before being made to gobble another five dogs in a last-minute tiebreaker.

From watching the trailer it looks like this is going to be a great season of Lost.  It’s too bad the writers strike means there will only be 8 episodes.  Hopefully the strike will be resolved in time to save the rest of the season.

Poker Pro Chip Reese dead at 56

Wow, shocking news from the poker world today.  Chip Reese, one of the best high-stakes cash game poker players, died at the age of 56.

According to Card Player, Reese was admitted to a hospital last night with symptoms of pneumonia and passed away in his sleep.

 He will be missed by the poker community.

The HD DVD version of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will have a new feature called “community screening.” You can watch a movie simultaneously with your friends while you’re each at your own place. You can also chat via the remote.

Amazon Launches DRM-Free MP3 Store

Amazon has launched the public beta of its new digital music portal called Amazon MP3, which will feature two million songs from 180,000 artists and 20,000 labels, all without DRM. Separate songs will sell for $.89 or $.99 and albums will range in cost from $5.99 to $9.99, with the best selling albums coming in at $8.99.
